Gov. Jennifer Granholm announced Wednesday that the University of Michigan, Michigan State University, and Wayne State University are part of the 2010 Creative Film Alliance Summer Film Institute. The program opened Wednesday and runs eight weeks. It\'s being held at the KBS Conference Center on Gull Lake in Kalamazoo County\'s Ross Township, about 120 miles west of Detroit. The program staff includes Hollywood professionals and university faculty. The students will come from the University of Michigan, Michigan State and Wayne State universities.
